Materials Required

Before you start, make sure you have all the necessary materials ready. For this project, you will need:

  • Yarn: Cotton 8/4
  • Crochet Hook: Size 2.5 mm
  • Stuffing (fiberfill)
  • Markers, needle, and scissors

Abbreviations and Terms

Understanding crochet abbreviations and terms is crucial to follow the pattern correctly. Here are some abbreviations used in this pattern:

R – round/row
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in same stitch)
dec – invisible decrease
ch – chain stitch
slst – slip stitch
st (sts) – stitch (stitches)
Cl – cluster: [yarn over, insert hook in stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through the first two loops] repeat two more times in same stitch, yarn over, pull through all 4 loops.
[…] – repeat instructions within […]
(…) – total number of sts per round

The Pattern

Now that we have everything in place, let’s begin with the actual pattern. Remember to change color before starting each round, and note that the ch 1 at the beginning of each round does not count as the first stitch.

R1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
R2: inc in all, slst in first st (12)
R3: ch 1, [inc, Cl] x 6, slst in first st (18)
R4: ch 1, [Cl, sc, inc] x 6, slst in first st (24)
R5: ch 1, [sc, Cl, sc, inc] x 6, slst in first st (30)
R6: ch 1, [2 sc, Cl, inc, sc] x 6, slst in first st (36)
R7: ch 1, [inc, 3 sc, Cl, sc] x 6, slst in first st (42)
R8: ch 1, [Cl, 6 sc] x 6, slst in first st (42)
R9: ch 1, [2 sc, Cl, 4 sc] x 6, slst in first st (42)
R10: ch 1, [3 sc, Cl, 3 sc] x 6, slst in first st (42)
R11: ch 1, [2 sc, dec, sc, Cl, sc] x 6, slst in first st (36)

Now, stuff the bobble ball with fiberfill.
